A Traviel Pursuit

A personal chronicle of our travels inspired by a global pandemic…

What happens in Pattaya stays in Pattaya…

Thailand had left a permanent mark on both Bob and I and on several of our travel mates. I thought it hilarious how clueless our tour leader tried to be when half of his group asked where they could get a more “memorable” souvenir of the trip. A Yantric tattoo, or Sak Yant, was a vestige of the Khmer Empire in Thailand and was meant to ward off evil and offer protection and good fortune to the bearer. The process was as painful as I had imagined but the healing period was magically much quicker than my two previous tattoos. Maybe there was something to all this supernatural stuff. Well done Miss Jolie!
