The jazzed-up version with a sprinkling of cinnamon and powdered sugar. Delicious either way.

What to go with the most ubiquitous food in the country, Bacalhau (salted dried cod)? Sagres Radler Limao (lemon) beer, of course. Casa da India

Maybe a little too emaciated to be the famous Bifana (pork) sandwich?

The predecessor to the malasada?

A Portuguese Jesuita, a triangular flaky pastry filled with frangipane cream and sometimes times topped with sliced almonds and powdered sugar.

Closer to an actual Bifana sandwich? Maybe. Regardless, the Pastel de Bacalhau (Cod fritters) still beg to be eaten. O Trevo
