The Plaza de Espana and the earlier Parque Maria de Maria Luisa were built for the Iberio-American Exposition of the 1929 World’s Fair and was used also more recently as the filming location for another equally popular franchise in the fantasy fiction genre: Star Wars (Episode II – Attack of the Clones).
